CHRONOS Timelapse Incubator
The next generation in embryo culture and monitoring technology. CHRONOS provides continuous, undisturbed observation of embryos throughout incubation — supporting improved decision-making and patient outcomes without removing dishes from the controlled environment.

The CHRONOS is an advanced embryo-culture incubator that provides a quiet, precisely controlled environment for early embryo development. It enables non-invasive, continuous time-lapse imaging from fertilization to transfer, allowing embryos to be monitored without disturbance and images to be captured at user-defined intervals. Temperature is maintained within ±0.2 °C (or ±0.1 °C on select models), while CO₂ and O₂ concentrations are continuously monitored and automatically adjusted in real time, even after brief drawer access. The system is compatible with dedicated EmbryoGrid IVF culture dishes, ergonomically designed with non-slip stability and precise alignment to the tray optics for optimal performance and traceability.
"Emboss Contrast"
In collaboration with Nikon, Astec have created a new observation method to enhance viewing of embryos, using autofocus, depth stacking and wavelength selection.
Uninterrupted Temperature & Gas Stability
Maintains environmental stability even during access. Its advanced engineering minimizes thermal loss when drawers are opened and significantly reduces fluctuations in temperature and gas concentration.
Independent Chambers
Multiple individually controlled chambers, allowing flexible patient scheduling and minimising environmental disturbance.
Full-Slide Drop-Off System
Allows complete and safe removal of culture dishes, minimizing potential contact with instruments or surfaces.
Integrated Software
User-friendly interface for annotation, scoring, and secure data management.
Available in 5 Different Colours
The CHRONOS is available in Black, Pearl Mint Green, Silver, Pearl Pink or Pearl White variations.
